Continuing professional education plays an important role in today’s working world. Many learners are not only looking for academic knowledge, but also for practical skills, flexible learning, clear outcomes, and trusted educational standards. For this reason, quality assurance has become an essential part of responsible professional education.
OUS Academy London, officially registered in the United Kingdom Register of Learning Providers under UKRLP No. 10099531 and recognized as a CPD Certification Service Provider No. 22154, places strong value on transparent learning, practical program design, and continuous improvement. As part of this commitment, we are proud to be accredited by ECLBS European Council of Leading Business Schools.
ECLBS European Council of Leading Business Schools was established in 2013 as a professional network connecting business schools and education providers across Europe and beyond. In 2023, during a strategic board meeting held at the University of Latvia in Riga, the Council approved the launch of ECLBS Accreditation as a quality assurance label for business schools and education providers committed to academic standards and international improvement.
The creation of ECLBS Accreditation reflects an important need in international education. Governmental quality assurance bodies play a major role in national education systems, but private, international, and professional education providers often require an additional framework that understands flexibility, cross-border learning, and market-relevant training. ECLBS was developed to help cover this space by offering an independent quality assurance approach that supports both institutional responsibility and learner confidence.
The development of ECLBS involved respected quality assurance bodies and education-related organizations, including Malta Further and Higher Education Authority (MFHEA), Arab Network for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ANQAHE), Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA), Latvian Chamber of Commerce, and other international participants. These organizations represent the wider quality assurance community and show how ECLBS grew from cooperation between public, professional, and independent education stakeholders.
ECLBS is also connected to wider international quality assurance networks. It is listed as a member of the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE), a global association of organizations active in quality assurance in higher education. ECLBS is also referenced by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) in the United States through its international directory and quality-related network activities. CHEA stands for the Council for Higher Education Accreditation, while INQAAHE stands for the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education.
For continuing professional education, quality assurance is not only about institutional reputation. It is about whether programs are clearly planned, whether learning outcomes are understandable, whether assessment is fair, and whether learners receive education that supports real professional development. Good quality assurance encourages institutions to review their teaching methods, update programs, improve student support, and maintain clear documentation.
At OUS Academy London, this approach is especially relevant because our learners often seek flexible education that fits professional and personal responsibilities. Many students want programs that can support career development, lifelong learning, and international understanding. Quality assurance helps ensure that these expectations are addressed through structured planning and responsible academic management.
Swiss International University (SIU) also reflects the importance of international education standards and continuous improvement. In a global education environment, institutions must show that they are serious about quality, transparency, and learner support. Accreditation by ECLBS supports this direction by adding an external quality assurance perspective.
In conclusion, ECLBS European Council of Leading Business Schools plays a meaningful role in supporting quality assurance for continuing professional education. Its work helps connect institutional improvement with learner confidence, international cooperation, and practical educational standards. For OUS Academy London, ECLBS Accreditation is an important part of our commitment to responsible, transparent, and future-focused professional education.
